My 100% stock 750 plugs look like that. I was worried too about burning it up. I am going to be changing to 4-1 soon. Have to re jet though probly.

here's a experiment for ya, take a plug out of your car ( fuel injected,
2 O2 sensors, computer mapped) and see what they look like

That's "Within the Window" of Fine Tuning.

    A tad lean.
That Burn is going to be for Rapid Accelerations and Immediate Throttle Responses.

The Ride is a little harsh like that. But, the Performance is as close to getting all the Speed you can get out of the Bike without getting Critically Lean and having problems develop.

I'd be doing some regular checking running like that.
Imagine the Slot on the Pilot Mixture Screw as being the Sweep Hand on a Stopwatch.

If that Burn is right at the Start ... On "60"
I'd add a cpuple of seconds of Richness ... Bringing the Screw Out to "58" -or "57" ... just for Insurance.

Thank you Polock, and Rick for all above.
Mine have been cc's of the pics and thought they were a
tad too lean for me as well. I'll re-set my "stopwatch" a second
or two just to stay away from the hot side. Living at 5200 ft
ASL she runs lean anywhy-new k&n air filter adds to that-.
