He likes it a lot its a nice comfy cruiser. Only thing he doesn't really like is the heal toe shifter and I agree its kind of awkward if you have bigger feet (I wear a 13-14 us shoe) but it doesn't annoy him enough for him to have changed it yet, I would have. Other than that no complaints at all and if you had a bit smaller foot the heel toe would be kind of nice I think.
Me and my brother do give him a hard time because he has the biggest bike and we can out run him all day.

Wow! Lot's of awesome rides. Just thought I'd add to the mix with the 85 750X that I recently completed (well they're never really completed are they?)

Check out the pics below and if you'd like, jump over to see the video I just loaded on YouTube:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tq-EMRVtk_g

@ BigFitz, I had the GP's on my 700 and while the width was good, they had a bit too much pull back for my liking. I went with the Renthal "Street Fighters" (narrowed 1" with end weights) for this build. I also have a spare set of Euro Bends (narrowed 1.5"), but they have a bit more rise.

We were on a five guys hamburger mission.
I always liked that Seca red color.

OK, here's a few....I'm missing pics of my CB350, one of my GT550's, my RD350 and the H1 but here's a few of them....

They are all a blast to ride and if I'm in the mood to meet new people, all I have to do is ride one of the older ones to the gas station!

bringing this thread up from the dead.

my 550 Maxim (in yellow) has been my daily rider now for a couple weeks running right at 51~52 mpg!! I will continue to adjust clutch issues and keep drive chain lubed as I rack up 80 miles a day for commuting to work & back. I can't believe how similar this bike is to dmccoach's bike

Unfortunately the 650 Maxim (in orange) has not been running for quite some time and won't be for awhile. Don't worry I didn't get hurt; I've always struggled with it (problems here & there) and quite some time ago a cam-lob sprocket somehow came loose and f#@K$* up my timing, putting a crack in the cam lobe and completely destroyed the cam chain guide smashing it into the exhaust cam once the intake cam sprocket disintegrated. In the end, I've learned a tremendous amount from this bike and one day will swap engines with a spare sitting in the barn.

Here is just a fun picture of our garage one night. The xs special is an original owner bike, and his son's bike is the fj1200. Then there is my xj1100 and my dad's honda valkyrie. Hanging out in the back is my little brothers 83 midnight maxim.

I assume you are talking about the pipe on my XJ900 and not the one on the KLR. :D
If so the answer is - I have no idea :?: There is no brand or markings on it whatsoever but it sounds as sweeeet as it looks.

The one on the KLR is a TK-P and it is a bit for my liking.

I like the paint job on the wheels. I may end up doing something like that (matching frame and wheels) if I decide to go to orange and black this winter.

Maybe you mean the fj1200 in my pic? If so yes I am quite jealous of that bike as well. It has a vance & hines slip on (not sure if correct spelling but oh well) and is loudddd. Also stupid fast.

    Ok, my current (main) ride:

My previous main ride (yes, I do mean the bike...):

Before that I had a BMW R1150GS. Between 1985 and 2001 a Suzuki GS(X)400E was my only bike.

Its now a partsdonor for this one:

Had some other bikes along the way since 2001: a Kawa GT550, GPZ600R, BMW R65, Yamaha XT600Z. Most of them I had only one or two years.

    The wife has this one:

The beemer caused a fire in my shed, destroying itself, damaging the white Suzi (beyond repair), and there was some smoke and water damage to the red one and the Shadow.

    To illustrate:
