Long term carb storage

It's become a harsh realization that my project may take another year to complete due to financial constraints. The bike has not ran now for about 10 months. The rack was removed and stored empty in an upright position, with the in and out ports covered to keep rodents out. The carbs were fully rebuilt 2 or 3 years ago, and the bike was ran regularly.

The bike is now back to a roller, but the electronic components are adding up quick. I have the battery, engine built, and in bike, I'm ready to start wiring but need to still get headlight, taillight, turns, gauges and a bunch in between.

Would I be best to go beyond minimal to get the bike running around my private property with no lights, gauges, ect. Or can I store it in a big zip lock with some silica gel beads? I honestly have no clue, so any help is appreciated.

 

As long as you drain the float bowls the carbs will be fine. All the parts that are subject to corrosion are electro-plated, so if that's in good condition they will store well.
