Hi Dave looking for at least 1 caliper piston (prefer 2) in good shape for an 1981 XJ750 Seca front brakes. Mine have been attempted to be removed and marred. I also need advice on replacing the frame mounted master cylinder with a bar mount perhaps from another XJ model. Any ideas or should I post this out to the general forum. Thanks

Looking for the 6 position connector that connects the coil pickups to the CDI box. 6 positions, five connections.

Also need a chain/sprocket cover and screws.

    Thanks

Do you mean the long cover over the chain and rear sprocket, or the metal cover over the front small sprocket

I am wondering if you happen to have a cover with the maxim logo in white the cover needs to be blue with the logo in white. I have the cover however prongs or the piece that keeps cover on broke off. tried glue but didnt work. this would be a cover for the right side of 83 xj650 maxim.

Joe-- I'll have to check on a right side cover, but you'd have to paint it yourself.......also-- the emblems are almost always going to be chromed (gold), or the chrome worn off. If your's are white, someone painted them that way. That is not a factory thing.

Yeah that is not a problem. Just let me know if you have one. that surprises me I did not know most of them are chromed. do you have a picture of one you could send me so I can see what you are talking about.

Do you mean the one that boots to the top of the two side-rails, or do you mean an aftermarket add-on type of thing?

Broken studs can be removed fairly easy with a drill & e z outs. Or vice grips.

Im not an XJ specific mechanic, but in my experience any cam ir main bearing caps are machined specific to each block and arent interchangable... Unless you have them shaved and align-bored...
Why again do you need caps? If there scuffed from lack of oil etc. See above ^^^

The cam caps on the XJ series were all line bored to the same dimension, and swapping them is usually possible. The exception being when the caps are worn beyond their service limits.

The caps just to the right of the cam tunnel are non-bearing caps, they are not machined on their inner surface and don't contact the camshaft journal, and those can be interchanged w/o any issue. All other caps which are true bearing caps may have been originally bored to the "same" specification, but contact wear patterns (or just total wear) over time may cause issues when swapping between heads.

I thought that's what I said, except for the part about the non-bearing caps.
