Likely free that weekend. And I am in need of a colortune (as well as knowledgeable advice).

I'm not available on the weekend of July 19-20, but I would love to get to a carb clinic. I have both a 12 and 14mm colortune for use if that helps. I'm pretty sure the 27th is a better day for me but if the 19th works for everyone else, then I guess I'm stuck.

Hello from Eau Claire WI. I'm new to posting here, but I have been following the forum for about a year now. Just bought an 82 XJ650 RJ Seca and the restoration process is being documented here:

Let me know what you think, and if you have tips on cleaning carbs, going to a 4 to 1 exhaust, or painting, PLEASE post them as I am a complete rookie when it comes to restoring bikes.

I was wondering where this thread went to. Mine fired right up yesterday from her winter's rest so I took her for a short ride. I need to do oil changes and a brake bleed tonight and I'm bringing her in to work tomorrow. I'm definately up for a ride some time, but I need to do a little more deferred maintenance first (wheel bearings, brake pads, stearing head bearings...).

I've ridden to work a handful of times since January. Would have ridden today, but I'm having some back/hip issues (Jesus, I'm only 35! :) ).

Were you thinking of a ride or a clinic? I'm up for any kind of meetup at some point but April is really busy already. Weekend of the 4th is the only thing I might conceivably have open.

    Hello fellow Wisconsinites!
I just got my XJ and it only came with one key, I live in Germantown so I took it to Sears in Menomonee Falls to get a couple copies made and they don't have motorcycle blanks! The guy there then informed me that all the other hardware stores all have the same machine as him and wouldn't be able to make a copy.
Does anyone know of a place on the north side, preferably in the Germantown area, that can make a copy of a motorcycle key?

You may have to order the blanks online (I think Chacal sells them) and then take it somewhere or else go to a locksmith or a yamaha dealership. Don't know the area around you so can't really say where to go though.
