    My 82 Seca 750 motor cuts out when I put it into gear, I know the side stand has a switch if it is down that will kill the motor, my stand is up. What should i be chceking and can i deactivate whatever is killing the motor.

    Thanks

    So, what does that tell you about the switch?

    a) It's lonely and wants a date;
    b) It's hungry and wants you to make a run to Burger King;
    c) It's malfunctioning.

    (Hint: the answer is always C.)

    Pull the wires going to the sidestand switch and jump them; see if the problem goes away.

    My vote is with schmuck, side stand kill switch isn't working. disconnect that little sucker in your headlight bucket (I believe it is the green connection) and see what you get.

    Yea I'd go with switch. If it's bad you can usually clean it out. Most of the time they are sticking due to junk caked on them.
