recently this (pictured) has started to ‘slide out’ of the exhaust after rides.

Replace? How to secure? My zen motorcycle guide has moved to California and I no longer have his sage wisdom.

I had a baffle come out of one pipe on a Kawasaki 500 Mach III H1 (2 stroke Triple) one time and get run over by a car. The sound definitely changed.

Not the stock muffler, like bensalf mention you'll need to slide it back in and secure somehow. Self tapping screws, hose clamp, whatever you're familiar with.

there doesn't seem to be any "noise wadding" in there either, unless its stuck in the end can, if you need to quieten the exhaust ,the exhaust wadding wraps around the perforated baffle, you can secure it on with thin bare wire to refit
