    Well fellas,
This project has long been down the tubes.
I purchased a wrecked RC51 shortly after the start of this and rebuilt it. Aside from that, I've got my dsm project of 4 years that I was running out of enthusiasm on. To top it all off I'm heading to Wyotech on March 28th. Thats like right NOW! On top of the job I haven't even had time to think about this piece. Really the project was cool for me to mess around with, but I wasn't completely into it. I knew it wouldn't ever be the performer I've always wanted. I can tell you this though, the RC is an incredible machine. 1000cc V twin, fuel injected, gear driven cams(think pete jackson). The sound and handling of this bike is more than I could ever ask for from any bike. It's a little heavy, but it's incredibly well balanced.

Seeing the old pics of this bike really bring back some good memories. I was building this at the same time I was finishing up my foxbody Mustang build. I'm sorry I don't have any of the most recent pics of my bike but I assure you it looks very similar to the latest pictures I had posted.

To the comment about the hot sticker,
No I didn't just move here. I do know better.
Do you think that would change my plans on it, I seriously doubt it. Everything I've ever owned has been illegal in some way. I've learned that if you don't act like a complete hammerhead cops never bother me.
Also I know people that would gladly sticker such a sick build. It wasn't a death trap. Had good brakes, turn signals and good tires.

So I'm sorry for the rather lame update, but thats the way it stands as of now. I will be back within the weekend to post up some pics of my current bike and the talon project.
I can assure you it's nothing less than amazing.

So do you still have the bike? I know its hard to put money in something when you've got a newer sportbike in the stable as well(My daily rider is an 06 Honda 600RR). But it's still cool to have a reliable street machine and then for short trips break out the chop, and scoot around town. Also are you gonna stick around the forum?

I'll be around. I'm a member of about 10 forums that I frequently visit. I usually just lurk, see whats new and brush up on some info about the bike. I don't visit here very often though.
Oh, I forgot to mention, my newest bike project will be my dads 46' Indian Chief. I'm going to get an after market fender and bob it as well. Don't worry though, all the original tins that aren't used will be stored in a safe place and the frame will remain uncut. I'm not a complete idiot lol.
I've attached a picture of it. It's a shitty cellphone pic, but you get the idea.
So with the addition of the Indian to the project list it only makes me realize that the maxim project will most likely be getting scrapped to make room in the shop. Sorry guys, I've moved onto bigger, better, but way more expensive projects.
Thanks for all the enthusiasm, and the kind words about my project. I noticed how many views this thread had...wow, I guess its a hit.
