Thanks for the compliments. As far as jetting, I haven't changed the jets. It probably needs it though. I still am trying to fine tune the carbs with little success. I'm gonna say screw it and take it to a bike shop and have them do it I think. I have two people wanting to buy it, but I can't sell it running the way it does.

Looks good, I like the pin stripe. How's the braking without front brakes? If you removed the disc's for the minimal look, you could always put a rear wheel on the front and hook up the brake line to the pedal and have a fat tire on the front.

I only took off the front brake because the sight glass on the reservoir eventually gave out(bought a new one). It doesn't bother me much since I only ride it on short trips around town. It will have the front brakes reinstalled before I sell it though.

It does dim the headlight a bit so I just flip on the brights when I'm in a dim area. Hasn't been a problem so far. Hope you like it on yours as much as I do.

Thanks, I only have 1100 in the bike so far. Getting the carbs fixed is gonna add a little to that though.

Thanks cmcc, I'm from Hutchinson, Ks and yes it's for sale. I'm wanting to get the carbs tuned right before i sell it though. I would hate to sell something that didn't run perfect when I sold it. Unfortunately I can't find a place anywhere close that works on them. So I'm not sure what the hell to do at this point haha.

my 85 is twin disc so i'd assume his was the same.

only 1100 into the bike is awesome. hell mine cost 1200 for the bike itself. just had our first child too so it'll be a bit before i get to spend any real money on fun stuff again. LOL

Those gauges look like they came off an X but your bike is air cooled. Whats the gauge in the middle?

I missed that comment earlier....yes it is twin disc.

The gauge in the middle is a temp gauge. Bike was bone stock when I got it so I imagine the gauges are factory for the model, but I'm no expert.

Cm, I really haven't thought of what to sell it for, but if you have an offer you could pm it to me.

The temp gauge only came on water cooled bikes like the X, or so I thought. Is it hooked up and working?

No it doesn't work at the moment. I'll have to check it out and see if it's hooked up.

That came out great. I think it gives them a real old school look.
