My take on a PVC intake...

    Before you experiment with a Manifold.
    Try addressing the issue needed to eliminate a major portion of the lean running problem.

    Seal the Kidney-shaped Atmosphere Orifice.
    Add a "Vent" beyond the Vortex Pods allow too form that lowers Air Pressure at the Atmosphere Opening.

    With a supply of Atmosphere reaching the Cavity below the Diaphragm and feeding the Main AIR Jet ... the Carbs wont run so lean.

    Rick has anyone tried this? i might give it a go this winter and take pics along the way, sacrifice marie in the name of science.... i like your idea, and have been looking for a project like this...

    No. I don't know of anyone who has tried it yet.

    This can be done without fear of restoring the Rack to "Normal"

    Drill the Port to an I.D. that will allow you to fit a Grommet to Hold a Hose Fitting.
    Buy four Rubber "Solid Grommet-type Plugs" to cap the Holes if you return to stock.

    I'm confident that (2) -- 2-Into-1's will do the trick.
