New 07 Sportster solo seat mod.

    I just added a 07 solo seat and sportster shocks. This made seat position great with my clubmans. Also dropped rear 1 inch. Next is a killer paint job. More to come.

    It's come a long way! I'd like a close-up of the engine fins--looks like a milled pattern, or is it the foto? My neighbor has his fins diamond milled. how much weight have you removed? Can you weigh it?

    The engine was just painted with High heat engine paint, and the fins were buffed back down to aluminum with a high speed buffer. As for the weight i'll have to get back to ya. Thanks for the replies.

    I was thinking of having the frame and wheels powder coated bright red, and maybe have a proffesional repaint the tank and fender flat black. What do you think? Suggestions are welcome. I took a short ride today , about 57 miles, and really like the way it handles and rides. :D

    thats the exact seat I was looking at adding to my bike. FREAKING NICE. How hard was it to mod to fit? Where did you get the seat and how much did it cost?

    the finish on my sons paintball guns made me think of that.

    The shocks and seat is a swap . The friend that gave them to me wants me to make him a sissy bar for his 07 Sportster. He bought it already bobbed but wanted me to make him a sissy bar with a cross ib the middle of it.[justify]A 7"x 2" piece of flat bar was welded between the frame and a 9/16 carraige bolt fit the harley seat lock just right. You then add flat and lock washers and be sure to Cut Off the remaining part of the bolt that sticks down.[/justify]Just be sure to check your rear tire clearence. With the shock travel all the way down. A bolt rubbing your rear tire would be a dissaster. As for the gunkote paint i would like to know how it turns out. Later
