Hey all. I just got a 5n8 that my niece bought and then both couldn't ride and couldn't get started. So I bought it from her, changed the fouled plugs -because she had been riding it in first at 15 mph with the choke on- and now it runs great.

I've had a few bikes over the last 25 years. My first bike in 1989 was a xj650. I only had it for a couple
If months because the army shipped me to Germany. But I really enjoyed it.

Then I ran the gamut all the way up to a big BMW. But I'm glad to be back to the xj650j. It's light, easy to handle, and I don't feel
Like the bike is driving me.

I live in East Tx. I really enjoyed the novella on VIN numbers. Very informative. I don't plan on doing any modifications to the bike. Just riding and maintenance.

I'm glad to see this site and forum.

Thanks all. Great forum. I'm sure I'll learn a lot. I'll be changing my brake lines soon. It'll be good to spend some time reading old threads.
