Wiz, you make me feel like an amateur! BEAUTIFUL job; I'll bet it's gonna be a complete GAS to ride it when you're done.

How are the 'tins' coming? What color ya gonna paint it?

Wiz, when I was a wee lad (back before wool was invented) the blue you're using was my absolute favorite color. I have since gone over to the much darker steel blues.

Man, that is one beautiful color. It's good to see it again.

Eventually got the oil seal for the gear shift shaft, now I've got another leak, one drip per day, traced it to the secondary shaft bearing end cap, I recon, will fit a new 'o' ring, only 2/3 weeks from Japan, again.
I am going to lay the bike on it's side to save draining the oil.

Trick of the light, Polock, it's way darker than that.
Toyota do have the best colors, though.

Just picked up the 'O' ring I needed, from the Kawa dealer, all the way from Japan & only three & a half Aussie dollars, that's the cheapest thing I've ever got from the dealer. 8O

Wizard, you are my hero! Every day I count my blessings that I've owned my bike since it's first year and have taken good care of it. Don't know if I'd have the patience to totally restore a bike that looked like it should have been placed in a crusher.

Tank fitted & "plumbed in" we now have a non oil dripping, running bike, the end is in sight.
I am pleased with the paint color, I think it suits the bike & the finnish, as this was my first time with the 2 pack lark.
Grips & mirrors are on the way from some 3rd world country & the seat is being covered by my upholsterer neighbour.
Working on the tail light assembly today.

I will sell this one, my XJ is the keeper.
I would like to get an 1100, but I don't think they made their way down here
The stripes are vinly & the colors are pretty well stock.
    Thanks for your interest. Wiz.

After all that work you should ride it for a while first; it looks like it came out great.

Get the seat on and roll it out in some of that nice fat Ozzie sunlight for some good pics.

    Nice work.

Took the bike out for a shakedown & front tire, not wheel has an alarming wobble & if you can remember way back when I rewound the starter relay, well, starts well, but it wouldn't turn off, I don't know what you guys would do, but I was running around on one leg, hit the kill switch, it would die, then start right up again, turn off the key, same thing, put it in high gear with brakes on & stall it, yes, no, pull the clutch & it started again, disconnected the relay, that got it. So look for replacement relay

Took the relay apart again for some minor adjustments & extensive bench testing, back on bike & all is fine. Adjusted the cam chain tention, engine runs sweet, no noises. Bike rolls along real well & does all the things it should, stops, starst, goes round corners.
Will take the seat in for covering tuesday, to the place I should have taken it initially.
