New XJ owner wondering about typical mpg!

    My 81 seca ranged anywhere from about 30-32 up to over 40, depending on how many lights i got stopped at, and how hard i'm leaning her through the twisties, and how far i let my wrist twist that throttle. REALLY cranking on it out with a couple buddies one day, I managed to push it down to about 30 or 31 mpg.... but it was worth it 8)

    with the 10% ethanol in Colorado i get 39 MPG with my Seca and i'm well into the 275 lbs. ballpark. Most of my mileage is 6 miles back and forth to work.
