Yeah OK I got the lowdown on Iridium....I'm asking about plugs with 4 electrodes...still not worth bothering or?.....Its only for a single cylinder machine

I swapped E3 plugs for my new perfectly gapped NGK's in the 550 and there was an immediate and noticeable difference. Just as an experiment I idled the bike downward with both sets of plugs. The NGK's would let the bike idle right above 900rpm before it would stumble and usually die, but with the E3's it idled just fine below 800rpm. Of course I put it back to spec afterwards.

It also starts a couple of revolutions quicker with the E3's. Does it have more power or top end? Haven't had any REAL way to measure that but it feels like it does. Mileage creeped up from average of 48-52 to 50-54. Another nice plus with the E3's is there is no gapping required! I'm sold on them but they didn't make my 550 into a 900. :)

As has been said, nothing really WRONG with spending the money if you got it, personally I'm going to be fitting stock plugs (minus the resistor spec) in mine & changing them regularly, seeing as modern plugs don't seem to like being cleaned up after any foul-up as older ones used to...

So the plugs are each their very own CDI ignition system in a package shaped to look just like a... plug???

Imma get me some a'those on order!

EDIT-: and surely if they actually do as they say, they'd throw the timing off?
