Did you recover the seat yourself or do you "have a guy" for that as well? :p

We need to talk about SR exhaust systems and "burping" the oil filter. I'll PM you over the weekend.

I'm rebuilding the carb, Al, with all new parts, I want it to start effortlessly, then there is a bunch of chroming to be done. How far is it to QLD, 3000 clicks ? Jetstar might be the best option. Wiz.

Its not finished yet wizard, but I do have some of it assembled bare bone. I should have used counter sunk bolts on the parts that move but couldn't find any in the shop.
My son is a member of the engineer corp in the Canadian Forces at CFB Trenton. We went over to the base shop he works in on a Saturday and built it there. I had to supply my own steel. The stuff they had was to light.
I'll post what I have as soon as I transfer them the the computer.

Yeh, I used 10mm s/s c/s bolts on the inside, what sort of winch are you using ? If I was starting again I'd pull out for an electric one. Don't forget it will probably need a little assistance, at the back end, just to get it off the horizontal.

Wiz I'm waiting for when they go on sale. I'll get one then. I need to do more work on it as I said all I have done is put the frame together. Here's a couple pic of what I have got so far.
That's my dog Roxy, aka Killer, checking out the stand. I need to put tabs for tie downs on it and it needs wheels. When I get it home I'll put a front wheel guide/clamp on it. I'm thinking of making it adjustable for different width tires. Also I'm going to put a metal bar from the winch mount down to the bottom angle bar for some added strength. And I'll replace the bolts with some cs ones as soon as I can! We used lock nuts on the bolts.
What type of wheels did you use Wiz? My 73 Suzuki GT750K will be living on the stand for the next year. I figure it will take that long to finish it.

The wheels are about 65mm dia, neoprene, with metal hubs, about 150 kg rating, they have a flat plate for welding & they turn through 360*, I had to add a short piece of angle to the outriggers so they could spin unobstructed.

OK thanks Wiz. My sons Warrant is also a biker, he belongs to the Cav Veterans Group in Trenton, so he was quite interested on how it works.
So once I get it home I'll do the extras that need to be done. Meanwhile I'll hunt up some wheels.

Very nice.....can you post the name of your chrome plater? Chroming was expensive last time I looked.....they were also reluctant to tackle mufflers as it contaminates their tank?
