Spending an excessive amount of my free time perusing kijiji has paid off!
Nothing like a free full fairing set, mount included, full wiring harness with a decent condition windshield. The guy was ready to take it to the dump, but offered it free to anyone who could come pick it up.
I think it's a windjammer 3, it came off of a late 70's BMW R75? (not sure if i heard the model right). Had two local fairings pop up recently only to have the owner's jack up the price after I show interest. But I guess everything happens for a reason ....

Hoping the mount will work on my bike with minimum hassle, but I have a cousin that has offered to help me custom fab a mount if this one doesn't work. Also may have to shape the lowers a bit or cut them back (don't really want to cut them up since theyre in good condition still), will post more when I know more.

Unfortunately, it came with no headlamp, looks like the 7" beam off of my 650 might fit the gap perfectly, will have to pull my bulb and look at the connector.

Of course the guy had 7 motorcycles, amongst which were 3 mint condition 80's yamaha's. A full faired RZ350, a full faired V4 RZ500, and a bike I had never heard of, the "Japan Only" YZF 250, apparently a bike produced only for Japan, which has been imported to other countries post production. Super cool stuff!

The lucky thing about Windjammers is that they were made to be mounted to anything. All you need is to either modify the mount that you have, or hunt around for the correct XJ mount. There have been a few NOS mounts showing up on Ebay over the past year.

 

My buddy used to have an RZ350, and another guy I knew had the RZ500. Those things are scary fast! He tricked his parents by telling them its 0nly a 350. thats small for a motorbike, it'll be slow! yeah right! thing was a wheelie machine! Haven't seen one since the 90's. Damn. Those were crazy days. Looks like a sweet FZR too! And a vintage reel-to-reel tape player! If only...

 

Looks like the mount won't work without some mods, don't think I'm going to cut it up though since it is a labelled piece and someone with a BMW could probably use it. Maybe a salvage yard around me will have an xj mount and be willing to trade. Otherwise I'll be heading across the border to barter with a certain member for one of his

 

My brother had a RZ250 and then a RZ500, the 500 was fast in it's day but that was a long time ago, I did a 2500km trip on the 500, it still remains one of the most fun bikes I have ridden

 

Well the search for a mount led me to a mount and a much nicer condition fairing, windjammer 4 i think. Scored it all for $30, has a locking tonneau cover too.

Here it is quickly mocked up on my bike, couldnt wait until tmrw morning to see it

Also, do you have a separate barn for trophies? Jeez!

That's a nice looking exhaust can. Did it come with the 4 into 1 setup, or did you buy it separate? 2 would look nice on the Seca.. What size is the inlet pipe for it? Looks too big to just slip on to a 4 into 2.

 

Came on the bike, after the junction the pipe is easily 10cm diameter, maybe more. I can't find any info about the company on the exhaust can either (wolf performance exhaust) all that comes up is links to aftermatket exhausts on triumph daytonas
