Seriously now, Anyone want to meet up in Kitchener somewhere for a coffee? i'll go to Guelph/Cambridge for a spin for sure (most evenings are good). PM me if you're interested, i'd love to see some more XJs!

 

London here with a 81 Seca

 

Down near Windsor with an 81 Maxim 550. In pieces right now but gonna have her on the road in time for PD13 in May 2011!

 

I'm in Kingston, bike is running rough right now. Gonna give it some love in the spring.

 

I'm in Kincardine, just finished tucking the girl in for winter zzzz.

 

Live in Tavi, but I work at Long and McQuade in Cambridge usually work till 9pm throughout the week, but weekends we're done at 5 and i may be able to hook up if we plan anything.

We gunna do a London Carb Clinic this year Altus?! Or maybe Maxim-X's pad?

I really wanna attend this year.

 

Just saw this last post, I would also be interested in attending a carb clinic. London is good as i live here, but am willing to go where it is as well.

 

Did anyone start there season yet? Anyone manage to get out there before all the snow came back?

 

im in kingston got out last weekend a bit just to blow the dust off her, i'll be out again this weekend if we get the 8 degrees they say we will

 

I rode mine to and from the safety on wednesday and to work and back yesterday. 4 layers of clothes but not too bad!

 

I was out and about before that last snow fall and again these past two days.

Unfortunetly not on the seca yet. I really want to ride it but i want to fix it up right and currently i need to be saving for a big bike trip come july. So all i can do with the seca is buy little things finish the tear down clean things up and prep for paint.

Probly a good thing though the Honda CBF i riding dont mind the cold from my understanding these Secas are a tad cold blooded.

 

H**l! I'm in Normandale, thats near Port Dover, the bikes have been rooling past my place for the last 2 to 3 weeks!!!

 

Been busy with new chain and sprockets on my 1200 Bandit so it's ready for the season, then fresh oil and filter, next is the touring windshield. Then I can start to resurrect the X!

 

Hey guys I am working in Kitchener now and commuting from brantford on my xj every chance I get so if anyone wants to meet up for a ride anytime after work I am game. I actually believe there is an xj rider who works next door to me but dont know if he is on this site. let me know guys, thanks.

Not sure about other XJ riders there - gotta be a couple, right? We're everywhere!

That is the home of the CAV though - Canadian Army Veterans motorcycle group - Great bunch of guys & girls, mostly retired vets but actively serving are very welcome!

Gotta get out there myself - haven't been back to CFSCE and the museum in a while....

 

the CAV puts on a fairly good sized bike night every Wednesday night at 38 hwy and the 401 gas station

 

Im from ottawa, I ride a 1982 mint condition red 750 seca, i also got a 1981 seca 750 parts bike and a 1981 running condition bike.

 

Anybody making plans for Port Dover in April? I think it'd be cool to get some XJBikes guys together!

I will be at Dover this year. We try to meet at Tim Horton’s at noon but seem to miss other XJ'ers I am going to make some kind of sign or banner to draw some attion. More details to come.

looking forward to heading down in april, should be cooler temps and hopefully few april showers! i wonder how many other bike groups plan to meet at tims, lolz... small town for a whole lot of scooters!

 

Will try to make it this year. Depends if I need to do more work on the bike. Need to rebuild brakes!

Bump for lostboy . Getting close to the day, im leaving cambridge around 10am if all goes well. The worst thing is getting all the xjs together in the same place, but I guess that's what carbon clinics are for!

 

Downtown Toronto here. just got my '82 650 maxim. Can't ride it until I get my M2 at the end of this month. I've just been restoring it and ripping up and down the alleys.
Maybe I'll see you on Fri 13 in July ...

 

I'll be at Dover as well, and I'll shoot for the Noon meeting at Timmies. I'll be wearing a vest with a back crest that looks like my avatar.

Maybe I'll make up a little XJ Owners sign to hold up for awhile and see who I can attract!

I'd like to be there this Friday BUT can't get the damn brakes to bleed. Will be at the next one in JULY for sure! Altus is it hard to join the CAV? I am a vet, just don't live close to any of the chapters.

 

Looks like I'll be there albeit on the Bandit. Got it put back on the policy and picked up the sticker today. Main reason will be free advertising seeing as I'm trying to sell it, might as well display it to a captive audience.

The group from work and I are leaving the Staples parking lot in Cambridge (24 & 401) at around 10:15am... Not real close to those guys, perhaps I'll break from the pack and park next to the first XJ I see! My goal is to meet some of you guys tomorrow, that is all . Napanee, Ontario here.

The XJ is running great. The wife loves it too. She has her liscence, now so it is her ride ( we are looking for a backrest for it too ). We will attend the kingston bike night ( #38 & 401) when we can (if it is still on). We usually attend Napanee Bike night on Tues nights. Pretty good turnouts there too.
