Oversized Pistons..

    ..how much longer, I wonder, before it's possible to print seriously useful stuff like oversized pistons which are seriously on the unobtainium periodic table

    If your printer could use the right metallic material the result would still need to be machined, at least on the sides, in the ring grooves, etc.

    You can get pistons made easily enough, you just need a sample or measurements

    Question for you FJ600 guys: are the crank main journal bearings on the 600's the same as for the 550 engines? I notice that Yamaha has a supersede on SOME of the 550 bearing listings to the FJ/FZ/YX bearings, but not for all of the different "colors", and I'm thinking that if one "color/size" will interchange, then all of them should............am I missing something? Anyone have any experience with this issue?
