painting the gas tank

My sons is a pro Painter so he will be painting my bike for me. I was in the paint and body field until I got a bad reaction to the resin in bondo. and any chemical you breath can and will hurt you no matter how small the amount.

 

Safety and patience are any restorers best freind. My father has a serious lung disease from working around paint without a respirator for a number of years... I was repainting the headlight bucket and what appears to be a feral cat's fur is now embedded in the fourth coat after leaving my garage door open in a storm last night... Back to the primer!

 

One of the many good points about 2 pack paint, is that it dries hard quick, less time to pick up dust & stuff.
Here is a picture of my first 2 pack effort, of course 99% is prep.

I got me a basket case 1100 shadow and painted it in my drive way (twice)
