    Hi All

Here's a couple of pics from good old Blighty!

First one is my wife and me, on our way to a childrens hospital (Annual Trikes R Us Christmas Toy Run)

This is My son (15yr old and 6'4"!) and me at the Ace Cafe in London last Sunday (4 Mar), historical bikers cafe from the 50's.

That's where the term cafe racer came from... a real bit of history there.

You don't look old enough but I wonder if you ever got to the Ace back in the early 60's. I liked the Ace even though there was a lot of rubbish talked there by some of the inmates, never that keen on the BusyBee though.
Anytime your near Epping in Essex there's a tearoom in the forest just of the Robin Hood roundabout, great bunch of old farts on bike's hang out there.

Just put the bins on and you ain't old enough to remember the Ace back then. Must have been the excitment of seeing the Ace again, brought on a senior moment.

Hey Flooflebinder, The picture was taken at the QV Brewery, some good friends own it and it's actually pretty good beer! Especially when it's free.....

How do drinking rot-gut and motorcycles go together??? I've never understood the attraction. There are hazards enough on the steed when you are sober. Oops, I'm on a soap box, how did that get in here? Where was I?
Ah yes, MaximTLB, do you have a 750 Max? The tank looked a little big to me in your photo.
LincsTriker, I love your ride! Wonder if my sweety would go for a conversion.

While I do profess a fondness for a cold pint, it is always saved for after the ride...As for the bike, it's an 82 750 Max, the headlight and signal lights were changed and the seat and rear fender were modified by the PO. I picked her up in the fall for $800 CDN, 19,000km I've recovered the seat which is now black and she's getting some new paint in the next couple of weeks.

Black seat and some new paint should make her look like a million dollars (CDN of course!). Don't forget to update the gallery.

Too bad you're not in the part of Ontario that is South of Michigan, spring just around the corner. I think you probably still have a few weeks of riding the sled.

I'll definately keep you posted on her progress. I have to say that the black seat already makes a big difference.

We still have lots of snow right now but it's slowly warming up...can't wait for spring....

My turn. Picked up my bike for $400, carbs unhooked. Have put some work in to it and she's running, ridable and looking not so bad. I need to finish some paint (work schedule conflicts) then I'll be on the road. Here's a pic of me with one of my other hobbies and my other XJ (cherokee incase you didn't know).

Me on my Seca last fall. Over the winter I ditched the old man windshield and highway pegs, polished the engine covers and cleaned and re-jetted the carbs. The previous owner installed an 850 big-bore kit, and re-jetted THREE of the Hitachi carbs with Mikuni jets. I have no idea how the thing even ran like that. It's running a lot better now, but still in need of some tuning and probably needs to have the carbs synced, but I've been enjoying it quite a bit.

And just to head off that discussion...the do-rag was just for show. I have a good modular helmet that I *always* wear when riding.
