problem winterizing (petcock) need help

    Well if your floats are leaky, (which is a good possibility) you will end up with a crankcase of gas.
    Also end up with a floor full of gas.
    Keep in mind the float valves will HAVE to fail to produce those results.

    Where can you get a inline briggs and stratton fuel valve from without having to order it?

    i got one at a true value hardware store. i think you just need to go to one that also has small engine parts and does small engine repair. i just asked the guy for one and he went in the back and got it. was like 6 bucks.

    Now that it's April (almost) how many people winterized by spraying and running carb cleaner? Who winterized with stabilized gas? Who drained?
    Who just parked it with normal gas? Do these questions need a new post? because I believe the previous comments are important here. I'd like to see who gummed up their carbs during the winter and who didn't.
    I now think there should be a neutral, inert fluid to load into the carbs.

    i sprayed carb cleaner in. didnt drain carbs. just ran bike on carb cleaner till it died. woke my bike up 2 weeks ago and its been running great! same as the day i put her up for the winter. so i guess it worked well for me.

    I never really put it up. Feb was the only month I didn't get a ride in.

    parked w reg gas and seafoam, fired right up. Been having an issue with stalling while driving then no start before cold weather, it still shows up too.

    i just ride mine all year round even if it is cold as hell as long as it is not wet or snowing i dont care
