The acorn nuts are stainless and will polish up nicely. If you have a buffer (looks like a bench grinder) they will look like chrome.

I'd absolutely love it if you could give a short step-by-step for doing the timing...

Oil and running in is serious business, this is a third of third of the original purchase price in the picture.

How does the lift bracket connect to the motor? Its just what I need to pull my engine so I can clean her up! Could you post a few pics of it?

Current plans are to clock up at least 1,200 klm in the next 6 weeks, then do a farride on October 20 (that will total 1,600klms plus for the weekend).

After that will be a dyno run to see the numbers before the EFI goes on.

During that time I intend to get the EFI running and the basic settings done on the old engine that was just removed.

Now its spring we should have plenty of updates coming.

Bracket lifts by bolting onto the M8 head to barrel studs. It was a quick throw together made out of some old shelf brackets I had made, it certainly could be improved upon.

Welds are a bit rough as I only have a $45 stick welder.

Great engine bracket, thanks for the measurments. You are going to beat me done. It is coming into fall here, so might be awhile on my project. What does tube measure? Can't wait to see your dyno numbers.

Yesterday was a sunny spring day, so I managed to get 300ks onto the new engine in the afternoon.

I like this shot, bugs on the lights and a horizon reflection on the tank.

I just bought the microsquirt V3 & a '03 GSXR 600 throttle body w/ a 420a coil. Should all come in the mail in a week or so.

What is the pilot hole diameter on the Trigger wheel? I found a site that sells them in the UK. There is a 3" trigger with a 5mm pilot hole. Do I need to bore a larger whole? I'm wondering if there is a USA site that sells them? Did you have to mod anything else to mount the trigger wheel?

From memory the centre hole was a fraction under 25mm. I chose that size after working out how much I could machine the original factory trigger wheel and get the spacing that I wanted so I could keep the factory sensors unmodified.
