My kids love this bike solely on the fact you used those happy face dudes for light covers :). Looks great!

Ditto.. really like th colour and your lights. You mentioned somewhere about going for a long ride later ( not just a farride )..any plans for some type of fairing or not going to bother?

Never thought about it, I wonder if it has been done before?

It would be cool to be the very first to use 'awesomeface' as a light cover.

I have been looking at the flyscreens that are an off the shelf fit to the dominator lights, and my try one.

The best thing about custom bikes is the ability to reverse direction if needed when coming forward.

    :D.

I should have guessed it was called awesomeface... All you need is a bit of BBQ paint for your headers and you'll be all set!

Its been 2 months without an update, so I am hoping for a decent update for Pumbas 3rd birthday in 2 weeks (3 years as a project, 2 on the road).

Until then, a winter in Perth pic:

You two make a fine pic ..really like what you've done and the attention to detail, great colour and in 2 weeks new shocks ..you'll like 'em .. and 1 more .. th 'yam yics' personally i reckon it detracts from th look, i got plain 650 covers but that's me, congrats to ya.

Sorry if I've missed it but curious about your light set up have you upgraded the charging system or are you running LEDS?
Be able to see real well with those lights I imagine, even blind skippy's still hop straight towards you though I bet.

Darkfibre, I see that you don't have your efi on the bike. How is the project progressing? I'm doing research on efi for my fj900 engine buildup. My plan is race cam, valves, springs. Ported & polished. Increasing it to 1000cc, & efi. How far out are you from installation?

EFI is for the new engine that is way overdue to be finished, I have to have the new engine finished and run in before the next farride (October).

It probably wont be finished until Christmas, but it may get a bench run on the old engine.

Winter + new job + study seems to mean I get nothing achieved.

On the bright side, I have the fuel pump and wideband sensor, so i'm not waiting for parts.

I decided to go for the efi. I've seen the GSXR600 throttle body being used a few times. They seem to fit into the rubber intake runners? There also is a few microsquirt harness kits on ebay that i saw. I was wondering if you could give a list of parts for a install? Is it important to get the wiring harness for the GSXR 600? I have a somewhat idea for the parts and you seem to have a good insight on this and I just wanted to hear your imput? Also, if you had any recommendations on anything else like a different throttle body, etc? I'm going to be using it on a XJ900 engine.

    Preempting next week.

    Almost there.
An XJ engine fully rebuilt and to factory clearances, and a few improvements.

Hi, a quick question. I see you removed the mufflers on your bike. I too have just down pipes.. Did you put baffles in the pipe to keep back pressure. I am not able to speed up over 50mph. Do you think the exhaust is my issue? Cheers.

It only looks like the muffler is missing, but its on the other side :p

Mac 4 into 1 exhaust, lost the paint on the headers in only 2 years :(
