I am planning a group ride on Saturday April 15th. Leaving the Wendell area and riding to Nashville for lunch then returning to Wendell. Any one in the area interested? send me a PM and I'll get you more details. I know there are a few of you in the area that I have not seen in a few years, lets meet up again.

We had a great time, weather was a little damp first thing but dried quickly. Rode a 100 mile loop from Wendell to Louisburg to Nashville and back.
We met at Ben's house in Wendell,

Lunch stop at Doug Sauls BBQ in Nashville.
They had frog legs on the menu and were delicious.

A stop at Howards General store. This was out in the middle of nowhere but a cool place. It was built in the 1920s and stayed in business till the 1960s. Now its just a display building. We did talk to the owners and they showed us around .

    We had 7
    2 xs1100s
    xj750 Maxim
    cb900c honda
    v-star 1100
    a new 1600 Yamaha touring(road liner I believe)
and the oddball was tony with a Triumph speed triple. We don't bust his chops too much about that, he does own and ride several vintage Yamahas and Hondas. Plus he is the NC rep for the VJMC

The ride was great and the company just as good. I was hoping some more pics were going to be posted. I'll have to see what I can do about that.

I had a bit of good luck to mention.
We rode almost 200 miles that day with no problems. I took my XS out the next day to go the auto parts store and it died just as I left my driveway. Pushed it back to the garage and found a wire had broke on the ignition pickup. Lucky it did not happed on that ride.
