Is it standard pipes you are after? I friend handed me that details of a UK expansion chamber maker for Classic bikes.

gday Al,no luck yet, missed out on the last set ,i bid abit over 180 pounds and somebody outbid me at the death, next time a suitable set pops up im just going to have to bite the bullet and win them i think, there seem to be plenty of aftermarket ones available but i want the stock ones and a NOS set sold not long ago for a smidge over 600 pounds,i guess because most are around 30 years old they are getting harder to find, my main problem is ive only got about7 weeks left to get a set, fingers crossed.

Ken you will find some i am sure. I just put my chambers on today i think i got a good deal on mine $219.00 shipped. I know your looking for stockers i did not have much choice on mine. My factory exhaust was in good shape but had battery acid stains on it. Your lc is looking great i could have made mine look that good but i wanted to keep the frame and tins original paint which is very rare on a bike thats 39 years old

hey, your bike looks great, i know what you mean by wanting to keep it original original,i didnt really have a choice on that though, to far gone, if you had of seen it before im sure most would have walked away, anyway 2 more RD's hopefully preserved for another 30/40 years, the white one will be for my lad,and im going to do one in the black(mars bar) colours for my daughter, well thats what im telling the wife, shes not buying it though.we will have to wait and see.

gday, a bit more to show, not much, money a bit tight at the minute, seat on,restored seat latches and got chrome back, the grab rail and the handle to raise and lower centre stand, bit disapointed with chrome on grab rail, will do for now, i should have put a little extra padding on seat so it would look better, but will do for now aswell, have started on motor, gee these 2 strokes look alot simpler than a 4 stroke and lastly i won the pipes i was looking at for 185 pounds, but wont be here till feb, not sure if i will be ready for them as we got the news we will have to shift as the people who own the house are selling, such is life, see ya

Mmmm, mmmm, those headbolts looked like jewels in the box....shame to bolt them on.

So, how close to mounting the engine?

I'll second the Allspeeds, good rpm pipes but of course you lose a little down low but with a good set of modified reeds & cages, that baby will fly!!!

    Yeah Markie, you're a two stroke guy at heart!!! Good for you, now step all the way out of the closet and repeat after me;

    Two strokes are fun,
2 smokes make more power with less weight at less cost and complexity
Riding a road going 2 stroke gives the middle finger to the left!
    I love two strokes!!!

All in fun, don't anyone get upset.....

Jeff - I absolutely love two strokes but in the years since I owned them they have achived a cult status and are well outside my finances at the moment.

Just for fun, here is a heavily modified GT750 on the tube. Sadly, the owner is doing about 20 miles per hour!!!

I've got two things to say:
    1. If you bought that bike- you could never ride it as it's "Value" is in the fact that it's never been ridden.
    2. I forgot that the Japanese supplied bikes with such rubbish tyres in the 70's and 80's!!!

Like Markie says it's novelty value, a sculpture nothing more.
Got my doubts anyone paid that much for it as well,a bid is not a sale.
Looking forward to seeing yours going Ken,meet you at the top of Mt Tamborine?

funny you should mention mt tamborine, thats were the bloke i got it off lives, im thinking once ive finished it i wont start it or put fluids in it, i will let the next owner fix up all the leaks, lol, only joking,, the funny thing is if i was a cashed up bloke , i would have been very interested in it, good luck to the owner if its all above board and if it is i hope he at least wipes the dust off and a little armour oil to preserve it.

I would rather have kens .Sure the bike has no miles on it. But ken has went thru his and its good to go now. The new one will need everything from crank seals to brakes my guess probably a radiator just from sitting. The only thing that other bike has that kens does not is a speedometer with no miles.
Sadly i think i am going to sell my rd. I just bought a 06 gto the car is perfect 36k 5k in full pedders suspension. handles like a corvette. I have to get it in the garage i am out of room unfortunately

That's cheap for a NOS bike. A few months back a NOS Honda 3 wheeler sold for $45 GRAND!!!!!

A guy in the UK has a NOS H2 kawasaki and has been offered well over $100,000.00 in written, serious offers and he's refused.

NOS bikes bring a lot of money because there are a lot of very rich people who can afford to buy what no one else can.

I just bought about RD350 over the weekend. My new GF and I are going to clean and sell it but I agree with Dave that Kens bike is by far, a much nicer bike then what we'll end up selling or the NOS Daytona.
