revving at a stop

    Now imagine: (This assumes inserting tool from the left) First rubber bit in from the lever side falls just past #1 and isolates it from #2; middle rubber bit isolates #2 from #3; third rubber bit isolates #3 from #4. Tool only goes (approx) 3/4 of the way in...

    The rubber seal under the washer on the outside keeps #1 (or #4, depending on which side you put the tool in) from sucking wind; the other end of the YICS passage stays closed.
