Has any here ever installed a Scott oiler on his XJ or another chain driven bike and could share his experience? I could grab one for less than 100 loonies and put it on my 3rd gen Honda Magna and wonder if it's worth it.

I feel like I had a stroke when I read your question.
    Maybe I have.

You use an o-ring chain? If so don't bother with an oiler. Messy and no better than using a dry-film chain lube.
Non o-ring chain, then go for it.

I have not used an oiler on any of my bikes but have seen them on other bikes. The whole side of the bike was covered in an oily dirt mixture. Not very attractive.

I read up on those. It seems like oil would be flung around. They use a less clingy oil since they can rely on regular application. The oil has to go somewhere eventually.

Yes I have an o-ring chain. So I understand that the general consensus isn't positive, I won't buy it. Thank you guys, you made me save money !
