I was chatting with a gas pump repair guy, I asked him whats the easiest way to get rust out of a gas tank. He says seafoam. Just pour a bottle in the tank. Let it sit. Put some nuts and bolts in it and shake it up. Let it sit in a different position... Shake it up.... And so on and so on. Empty the tank out.. Rinse it with gasoline. If not use distilled water. Fog it with WD-40 and pour some rubbing alcohol to dry it. I'd feel a hell of a lot better about this method than putting other stuff in the tank, like coke or the works... Or sand in it. Petroleum distillates seem to be the least risky to me. If they work. Anyone else tried seafoam like this?

I used Evaporust and followed the same method with great results.

Not sure how effective the Seafoam would be for that purpose?
