    Congrats! And yet another recommissioned XJ to add to the looooong forum stable. Now you can help other members with their bikes and know what you're talking about because you've done it (whenever you find time to STAY OFF THE BIKE
    of course). Riding is fun. Riding a bike you recommissioned yourself ~ priceless. Ride on.

    Interesting discusion re the 2 ground wires. I have an XJ900F ('85) and have recently dismantled it to fit a new starter clutch and chain guide. The Haynes manual indicates that there are 2 ground wires for respective numbered bolts on the top of the engine but I have only ever had one wire from battery to engine. Must be a common paragraph inserted into the manual but actually applies to certain models only.

    Nice day here...back to the build...
