    In manitoba we HAVE to take a motorcycle training course before they will give us our license. I'm starting to think canada is more and more stupid every day

    Really wanting to add to this thread here... the insurance rates hinge on your age, coverage type, CC's, location, how many claims you have had and how long you have held insurance. In Ontario you CANNOT insure for 6 months- the insurers all said naff off. I tried!!... I have 3 seca 550s and they are all on the road and my payment is 800 a year - not bad compared to the 2002 VTR1000 I got rid of that cost me $1300 a year. I am over 40 and had license since in diapers...... both UK and Canada licenses.

    I was just listening to the radio. They said in march motorcycle insurance will be going up 7.2%, and mopeds/scooters will be going up 25%.
