    Hi all
Had my 'bike stolen the other week. Got it back, bit trashed. Need to replace speedo cable, but seized in drive housing at console.
Tried spraying with plus gas and leaving for a while, but won't budge (see pic)
    Any ideas anyone?
    Regards

I'd keep wiggling at it with vise grips and hope to walk it out

^^^ Yes. Spray, let it sit a day or two, wiggle it a bit, repeat until it comes free. That process could take a few weeks, but it will work.

Ok thank you hogfiddles, and k-moe.
No other option then, just means that keep having to unbolt unit, turn upside down so spray penetrates fully, wiggle with pliers, but I have to turn it back facing downwards and reassemble when I want to ride. P.I.T.A!!
Will use the 'leave overnight in inverted position' strategy, and try each morning before I reassemble to ride, and if that takes a few weeks - so be it - having a working speed/odometer in UK, is not an M.O.T. requirement.
I have got another issue with the rev counter, that sits next to the tachometer, in that when I replaced a bulb that blew, and reassembled the unit, when the engine is running, it starts counting from 2000rpm, and not 0 rpm? Going to look at that now, and if I can't resolve it will ask for more advice on here from you wonderful people!!
    Thanks all
