splitting cases

I am trying to split the crankcases on a 650 81 turbo . So far I have not broken anything , . Cannot see why it will not split, can anyone help?? Have pried, heated , taken it to a Yamaha dealer,to check if there were any studs still holding anywhere... nothing he could see,... any ideas anyone? The main problem area is the front R/H corner , if you were sitting on the bike. I even have a big bolt between the two front engine mounts trying to push the cases apart. Bent the handle on a 12 inch shifter I was using as a support for the bolt.

 

The cases have to be held parallel to one another in order to come off without too much effort. This means either rig up a jig to grab the lower case in several places at once, or just slowly work the perimeter all the way around while lifting. There are alignment sleeves which will easily bind if you don't keep things even.

 

There's a bolt up inside the round oil filter housing on the lower case....did you get that one? It's kind of a "hidden jewel"........
