started life as an 81 maxim 550

looks good I'm building the same bike and put the same tank on, welding and everything, but I have no idea what type of tank it is. Maybe you could fill me in. thanks and the bike looks great so far

 

the gas tank is from a seca 550. the gas tank i used for the tail section was off of a 78 yz80

a couple more pics from my weekend fun. tail light is from a 02-03 R1, it is an all in one unit

 

havent gotten much done, been waiting on parts. odered some K&S technologies license plate LED bolts, some progressive series 14 shocks off of ebay, and new steering stem bearings. ive started puttig it back into rolling form so i can check clearance on the license plate and to check the shocks when they come in, the shocks are 1/2" longer then stock. here is a pic of the color combo im thinking about using. going to do the accents and the letters in white
