so ive got an 82 xj750 with a cracked top case half im replacing. ive got it just about completely torn apart, but i cant seem to get the starter idler gear to come out. ive got the retainers removed, but the shaft acts like its still pinned in place on the other side, the non clutch side. is there something im missing?
