    Hello there.
    Can someone help me with this hair pulling up issue!
    I have 1982 Yamaha xj 650 seca R, with rebuilded and synced carbs, all eclectic components work very well, new K&N filter, new pistons and piston rings,new carb boots, new petcock. The issue is that bike doesn't start to run before few attempts (with or without choke). When it start to run runs great (idling around 1500 RPM ), rew really good(doesn't choke) and runs great. I forgot to tell, if bike doesn't start after few attempt, gasoline start to leak from air filter booth. The only thing I haven't change is spark plugs. Any good and reasonable advice is greatly appreciated.

    One or more floats are not sealing properly when bowls are full.
    Tell us more about the carb rebuild.

    Performed ultrasonic carb cleaning, all jets and gaskets replaced(purchased kit from EBay for 1982 seca). I can try to make a short video if that may help resolving this issue.

    Did you set the fuel levels in the carbs?

    Which brand of kit did you buy? There are at least two brands that do not have the correct fuel bowl valves.
