Starts with starting fluid and die

    Resistor plugs are ok as long as you don't have resistor caps.

    ok, finally she started up. Start with half choke and after it warmed up it idle around the 1000 rpm and will die. I think I need to balance the carbs but I'm not sure. I will enjoy today's achievement, tomorrow is another day.....
    Thanks for all your posts, they helped me a lot. I'm happy to be part of this forum, it's awesom.

    just curious, what is the elevation of the test tank?? if its the same level as the carbs the flow will be slow. Try raising the tank at least a couple of inches above the carb's. Also how old is the gas?? I bought a seca 550 from someone that had old gas in the engine and it wouldnt run right. I wound up talking him down a few hundred because of it, only to hear him say "You want to pay that much for a non running bike??" New gas and a 150 mile ride later and everything was good. Wish I didnt have to sell it two years later!!!
