i would like to make my stock exhaust louder , I prefer a deeper sound , not to mention I would like it louder for safety reasons . Any simple mods or cheap ways to get this done. Or any suggestions as to what aftermarket pipes would be good if that's the way I should go. Thanks

IMHO, louder exhausts typically annoy those behind you and don't alert those in front.

You could drill holes at the top into the baffles. Just be cautious that louder most likely means more air, which in turn could mean you'll Need to rejet.

sit in your car in the road with your back turned to a loud bike when you hear it look to see how close it is.
it is called the doppler effect the train will run you over before you hear it

vigilance is what will keep you safe on your bike

i'm still trying to find a four cylinder bike that has a deep exhaust note. four cylinder outboard boat motors have a deep sound but the exhaust is under water

If you want a really deep exhaust, try a diesel submarine. (Can never tell if Polock is joking) Or try aftermarket. Not cheap, but products like Kerker have a nice growl. Anyone with a Mac 4 into 1 want to chime in about tone?

    Louder does not equal safer.
You want louder, just unbolt the mufflers from the collector. Instant loud, for free. (but not better, not safer, not cooler, not deeper. you want deep rumble you need twin or single).
