Is that your Cherokee in the one pic? If so, have you been to Rausch and are you a member on JF? I'm finishing up my '92 Cherokee and need to get to work on my '83 XJ that I've been stalled out on for a few years now.

That is my old cherokee in the background and I did go to rausch with jf awhile back. I sold it about a year ago and have been missing it ever since.

Hoping to get back in to some sort of jeep in the not too distant future.

Want to buy mine? '92 with D44/9", 4.88 gears, lockright locker in the front and mini spool in the rear. Brand new 35" MTZ's, rockhard cage, after market front and rear bumper. Rear has wrap around protection and swing out tire carrier. Front has a brand new emgo winch with synthetic line.... all that and more....

Oh, and frame stiffeners, brand new T&T longarms, T&T sliders......

If I was in the market for another jeep right now I'd definitely be interested. Sounds like quite the rig!

Pulled the battery box and the gauges to see how it would look.

I'm digging the lack of gauges. I'll probably go with a smaller speedo. Also looking at a faux oil tank to clean up/hide the wiring

    Pulled the airbox...

Plans are to run pods with the stock boots...

Tossing around the idea of possibly hard tailing the bike as well after seeing this...

I like how they hard tailed without using the shaft drive as an integral part of the hard tail. The lines on the frame flow beautifully.

Hi Strat, the forward footrests and controls you have, did you fab the connecting plates or are they available to buy? I want a more forward foot position on mine and your setup looks ideal.

I think the Shinko's will look great. Noticed that your order shows a 16 for the front, are you doing the rear to front conversion?

newb21... "tc bros is who I bought the controls from. they are for the xj650. you need to buy different hardware to mount them as the 650's have threaded holes in the frame where the 700 has through holes and you will need spacers to clear the outer header tubes. (i bought an extra set of nuts to use as spacers)"

orange n black... i have a wheel off a fazer 600 that is a 16" front and is a bolt on affair. taking after maxiumux's xj700x

I believe for the 550 they offer a set made specifically for the bike.

Picked up a blue collar bobber rear fender from a buddy. I think it will look pretty good once I figure out how I'm going to mount it...

How about some outside "C" brackets attached to the frame where you trimmed the rails and running along the fender edge towards the rear like a Harley?

I'm looking to mount to the swing arm... I want to run the fender as close to the tire as possible and the only way to do that without hard tailing is to mount to the swing arm.

Not much of an update. Just a pic of the bike as it sits in the daylight...

It would probably be easiest to mount a bracket for the fender to where the springs connect, that way you don't need to make a new attachment. But you probably want to attach it on the other end of the fender too. Might have to drill and tap a hole in the pivot part of the swingarm to bolt that down.
