I live in Huron (near Sandusky). I would love to get together to try to sort this thing out. I'm free Saturday or Sunday. Thanks a lot for the offer.

Josh - you'll probably need to leave the carbs with me for a couple of days. I'm about an hour from Sandusky. If you drop them off tomorrow I can have them for you early next week. Let me know if you're coming and I will pm you my phone# and address. But just so you know - this is gonna cost you big time - one 12 pack of Killians (my wife likes Killians).

I met up with mirco today, and he dug that screw out for me like a pro. I'm ready to order the replacement now, and I saw an ebay listing for an NOS screw for the 1986 XJ700. I was wondering if it is the same part for my 1985 XJ700. The ebay listing is for Yamaha Part #: 5H2-W1494-00

Thanks a lot mirco for the help and the time!

No problem Josh! It was nice making your acquaintance. Best wishes with your project. Next time I see you I hope it's 'cause you rode the 700 over!
