Does anyone know how to test motorcycle gauges without a motorcycle?
Do I need someone with the same bike?

Just an idea: stick a drill on the other end of a speedo/tach cable. I don't know what the reduction is on either the speedo or the tach units, so I don't know how a drill will register on the gauges, but I can't imagine that either of the cable move that fast...they would surely fly apart if they did.

Make sure you spin it in the right direction! Might want to determine correct rotation before chucking up that drill.
The electrical stuff is an easy check with a digital or analog multimeter.
