I decided not to take vacation in March, so I won't be back from Afghanistan until June/July. So, can't sell the seat until then.

    I'M BACK!!!!

Ok, so I got back from Afghanistan in March and have now moved from NC to Hagerstown, MD. Well, my 3 dogs and I have moved. The wife and kids are still in NC for now.

I haven't worked on the bike at all, but i HAVE dug it out of the shed in NC and put it in the garage. I don't have anywhere up here to work on it, but I DID bring the tank up with me to paint and line at least. I'll be heading down to NC once a month for a week at a time. I'd like to think that I'll be able to work on the bike, but I need to be working on the house getting it ready to sell. My other option is to drag it up to my parents' place in PA, which is 2 hours from me here in MD. Unless someone close by to me here in MD would want to offer me up some work space in their garage..... hint, hint :D

Well, hopefully I will have some updates here real soon. There really isn't a WHOLE lot to do, but tieing up all the little loose ends will take time, which is really hard to come by right now.

Welcome back. I'm not much closer than your parents place. About 1.5 hours from Hagerstown on the East side of Baltimore.

but do you have room for my bike in your garage, because they sure as hell don't and I don't have time to clean their garage right now..... plus they couldn't help me work on it :D

I do. It would have to stay a roller though so it could be moved about.

Oh, it will be staying a roller until this winter at the earliest, but I'll have my own place by then.... HOPEFULLY. If not, then I won't be stripping it for clean-up and paint then.

WOW! Has it really been over a year since I posted in here? Well, the family and I moved to Chambersburg, PA into our new house with 3 car garage last August. I haven't touched the bike at all. Right now I'm trying to finish up my Jeep XJ project, so I can move on to the BIKE XJ. Hopefully that will be in the next month or two.

Congrats on the move. If you need a hand on either XJ project let me know. I've moved to just south of Boonsboro, MD now.

You're probably about 15-20 min away from my work in Hagerstown. do you have a garage at the new place? if you ever need anything. . . tools, place to work on something, extra set of hands. . . just say the word

    iwin -

How is your Cherokee doing? I just got done with a D44/9" swap,T&T LA upgrade, SYE install, upgraded to 35" MTZ's, rock sliders, winch(still needs installed), JCR OTK 1-ton steering, and picked up a rockhard cage that still needs painted and installed. A few other small things too like doing away with my homemade cowl intake and picked up a THOR cowl intake I have to install along with a ballistic fab battery box. I just need time to work on it. Custom rear drive shaft ordered and should be here next week. Hopefully I'll have it ready to roll back out of the garage by the time it shows up.

Oh, and found a guy up by Rausch (Kreiders Kustoms) that made me a rear bumper/tire carrier for $425. It has wrap around side protecetion that hugs the rear quarter panels with them cut and folded, which I did just before installing the bumper. I installed the THOR rear panel armor/tail light boxes as well with LED tail lights.

It's doing ok. Rust hole in the floor which I have a new floor for but haven't got around to doing. We'll have to hit the trails sometime.

Where do you go? Have you been up to Rausch or do you know of any local FREE trails? I just got my new rear drive shaft in today. I have to install that, secure my battery, check my fluids (fill up transfer case and tranny after installing the SYE and dropping the tranny pan and replacing the filter). Then I THINK I'm about ready to take it for a spin around the neighborhood. If all goes well it should just need a little tweaking and I'm ready to roll.

I went to Green ridge state forest in MD but they closed the trail. I've also been down to Peter's Mill in VA that's not bad either but nor really hard. I haven't been to Rausch. I need other people to go with.

Driveshaft installed last night. Fluids topped off.... ready to see if this thing will fire up and roll out of the garage. If it does I just have some tweaking and a few small things to install (winch, tube fender flares, cowl intake, battery box...) and I'll be ready for inspection. Once that is taken care of we'll need to plan a trip to Rausch. I am going to link up with Blueridge Jeepers. Check out their website/forums.
