Now THIS is what you call Bike Porn. You need to give a NSFW warning! (just kidding!)

    Absolutely beautiful work!

PLEASE post copies of the 3D full renditions up for sale, I will GLADLY pay you for the work you have done, as I am sure many others will.

FlyGp the accolades you receive here don't go far enough. Your modeling is just plain freaky! So real I can almost smell it!

When you finish the product or even before i will PayPal you some dough for a copy!!

For you 3D novices out there look at the nuanced highlights and shadows on the screw heads, or the Yamaha label-can't be done any better!

Couldn't resist this.. I know it will probably confuse many members here, but perhaps just ONE other XJer will get this..

Added this trinket to the completed 3D models list.

The Petcock model was the project over the weekend. quite an interesting collection of parts go into this troublesome device, The seal areas and primary vacuum valve O-ring
seat have a relatively crude surface finish and I can see why they fail causing fuel to be feed into and past a bad float valve.

Thanks for the encouragement in this thread, can’t say enough about how the comments fuel the progress, Also thanks for the E-mails / PM’s with the detailed suggestions.

Way cleaner than the petcock I rebuilt for the Seca. Awesome job as usual, of course if you keep it up, we will accept anything less than perfect! :)

Guys, you should see the desktop background/screensaver he made...I leave my computer on just to look at the renderings.

I gotta agree with tskaz, the compilation of total images is truly amazing. It really makes me wish MY bike was that machined pretty.

Thought I would provide another update on the project, the new rendering is of a Hitachi carb body. I need to thank Chacal (XJ4Ever supporting vendor) and his co-authors and helpers that did the inside your carbs PDF. Chacal provided me with the same cut open carb body that was used in the PDF so that I could measure some if the internal passageways.

Chacal if you see this please add a link to the inside_your_carbs.PDF document.

I also want to thank everyone that asked for the XJ-3D windows background theme, it was a fun project and I am glad everyone enjoyed the show.

Take a look at the carb body rendering and let me know if you see any errors, thanks for the feedback it keeps the project alive.

Just incredible. Thinking of having a full carb rack that's 100% 3d is going to make understanding a carb rebuild so much easier!!
