Alright thanks I was freaking out because the bearing on the counter shaft has two and I thought I dropped them when I was splitting the cases and they vanished into the etherno never to be seen again

Hmm... it's odd that they would use a different spring in the 750 Max than in the 750 Seca since it's the same engine (aside from the motor mounts).

Not all 750 Seca used the better spring, Only the 82! Which is the proof that the 90501-04503-00 spring is the upgrade for the 650/750.

I'm not saying that it isn't an upgrade, I just thought that the earlier spring was superseded.

Two what? Bearing clips? There is more than one in the engine, but only one is used on each applicable bearing.
Their main job is to locate the bearing until the cases are tightened, at which point the cases hold the bearings in place (essentially creating a press-fit).

Except the bearing on the shaft the clutch is on it uses two circlips/ bearing locators

But yeah either way I didn't see the break down diagram showing only one on each of them till after I posted that but still rather worry about nothing then not worry about something

I'd remove the extra. I'm pretty certain that they don't have any allowance for a space to keep the ends of them from hitting one another and causing problems.

Parts diagram shows 2 on the main shaft (clutch side), 1 on each end of the middle gear

So it does. I guess it has been too long since I've been inside an XJ engine.
