    I recently put my extra set of carbs on flea bay to clear some shelf space. I was informed that if the carbs were truly off the xj700n aircooled that they are the only xj carbs with a certain jet that can not be purchased anywhere. He informed me that they were my model specific only. Could this be true. If so, I sure wish I would have known this before I put them on there.

    sorry cappy, the jets in those carbs are unavailable to be purchased anywhere but in used carbs.

    Even Chacal, one of the members on this site who sells lots of carb parts doesnt show a listing for jets the size needed for an XJ700N.

    That would be the 36.6 pilot jet. I spent about tweo weeks looking for those and could not find any at all. I ended up soldering up the old one and drilling it the proper size. So I would say, Yes that would be true. Hey dont I still owe you something?
