    Hello,
I'm the proud owner of a 1982 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim (I hope it is 1982). It is my first motorcycle and needs some work before I can ride it. It appears someone tried to splice in part of a wiring harness from a different model bike. So my mission this month is to re-wire it (yes all of it) from scratch.

I'm up to the task, but am curious about turn signals. I'm considering wiring the turn signals so that they are always on like running lights until you activate them. When you activate the turn signal, then it flashes.

Does anybody know if this is legal in California?
