I don't think your setup will work. You should have two tubes in each bottle. One of them should almost touch the bottom of the bottle and should be immersed in fluid to allow the bottles to share fluid with each other, the other one is supposed to be way over the fluid level and connected to a vacuum port on a carb.

personally i'd rather use 2 bottles and spend my time moving hoses rather than trying to figure out what screw to turn in or out. That sure is fancy though

The hose that attaches to the carbs is only about a half inch into the bottle!

Trial and error, I've never done anything like this! It's easy enough to just use the two!

My 82 Maxim recently started clattering from what seems to be topside front of engine. Have not scoped it yet, but sounds to me like my volkswagen beetles did. Am hoping it is an exhaust pipe gasket leak. She is about due for new pipes anyway. But if not, guess the old girl will just keep clattering. Would rather hear a snidge of valve slap and not the sound of a dieing engine. Still, the bike is quieter than all the Harleys around here.

Same thing as a stick of incense. If you don't have any you can probably get them from a dollar store.
