Weird slow weave at 30+ mph

More on the handling issues, I changed my head bearings and now have weird handling issues. The thing has a slow weave or oscillation at speed and steers heavy and weird at slow speeds. Think it is a wheel alignment or a bearing torque issue?

 

I'd give the front wheel alignment a quick check by eyeballing down the forks. I had an issue where the forks were out of true by a hair, caused by improper reinstallation of the front wheel and what I assume was some frigging around with the triple-clamps. When I inspected closely, I noticed that the triple-clamps were slightly tweaked and caused the forks to come out of true and messed up the alignment of the front wheel. It wasn't enough to be obvious but when I rode it just "felt" like the bars weren't pointing straight-up. Turned out they weren't.

If that checks out okay, then definitely have a look at the bearing torque.

I had something like this.... Turned out to be the steering lock tab on the frame was bent and catching on the back of the ignition.... Drove me nuts for ages until I found it

 

I have not licked toads or chewed tree fungus in many years, but I think the carb solvents may contribute to my cerebral instability.

It is amazing how wacky little things can influence handling, or lack thereof.
