New fuel, Oil change, new plugs, new fuses, new battery, cleaned windscreen and mirrors, swapped out the headlight for HID, adjusted clutch cable, adjusted mirrors. Getting ready to change out brake fluid and take her for a quick, but slow, ride. It's all of 27 degrees here in MI.

Took my tires off last night and ran them down to cyclegear with the new BattlAx's I got. Going to pick them up after work tonight and re-mount them. 30 bux a tire if i walked them in, 50 bux if I drove it in.

Going to pick up oil and do that too since I'm feeling productive,

couldn't find brake pads there, anybody got a recommendation?

Went for a 35mi ride on the snowmobile, then went inside by the woodstove and removed the whole exhaust system on my 900rk. Cleaned, polished, and detailed it. Then, put it all back on. I think there were parts of the muffles that had never been cleaned since it left the factory. Now it REALLY shines. :) Yesterday, I went and looked at all the others. I tiptoed in so that I wouldn't wake any of them. One of them grunted and snuffled a little bit but didn't wake up. I think I was able to stay downwind of them, too, so they didn't know I was even there.

pulled the speedo gauge, dremel'd it in half in order to gain access to the screw that popped out and glued it back together. Re-wired fuse box. All is working again.

Checked for fuel valve operation, replaced fuel filter, changed brake fluid (I have binders now!), traced the wiring short, oddly enough NOT to the fuse box (getting replaced tomorrow anyway), but to the hack wiring job a PO did with an in-line fuse.

Friday: Tear down bike, disassemble carb system, repair dings in fenders and tank, get rid of all the pits in the chrome on the turn signals (ugh...) spray 20oz of dupont primer

Saturday: Clean carbs, drill and tap broken carb to engine sleeve bolt (ugh x2) block sand all parts, spray dupont sealer then jet black.. then experiment with clear flattening agent at midnight! bake parts, shake head at bike, go home.

today: reassemble bike, tune carbs (wtf!) figure out idle situation, toast a battery in the process :) fun weekend!
