Tore apart the gauge cluster to get at the sticky tachometer. What kind of fun is that?!? Followed other strings and suggestions to use a little good machine oil on the pivots of the needle. Worked great!

Weather has been just fabulous. Did 200 miles in the mountains with a few buddies this weekend.

Installed new front brake pads (YES, the rear still looks OK) and removed the valve cover to check clearances and shim sizes. Motion Pro valve tool worked great and, along with BigFitzs' tutorial, all went smoothly. Several out of spec but most OK. Installed new valve cover gasket. Now calculating which shims to order.

Wife out of town, baseball on the radio, raining outside the garage, perfect day for bike maintenance!

Reset pilots to 3.5 out, and sync'd WITHOUT blocking YICS, runs better than it ever has. (Blocked YICS last attempt)

Further evidence (to me at least) that blocking YICS is a waste of time when syncing.

Tomorrow will be the ultimate tuning challenge with an actual colortune + Murcury sticks.
